What's it all about?

It’s the result of five years of focused and intentioned work preparing for this moment. During that time, we’ve been exploring some of Brazil’s most alluring travel destinations, enticing eateries, and other venues, in order to conceive of (for now) four, unique, Brazilian regional offerings, centered around great gastronomy, nature, culture, and joy – a combination which few places outside of Brazil can serve up with so much flavor and color.
If you’ve ever been curious about Brazil but haven’t quite felt comfortable visiting what appears to be (and is) so much an exotic and mysterious land, then we’re here to help you realize that experience, be it in the Amazon, in the “Marvelous City” which is Rio de Janeiro, at one of the world’s great natural wonders and spectacles – Iguazu Falls, in the pristinely preserved colonial towns of Minas Gerais, or at some of Brazil’s most breathtaking and secluded beaches.
This initiative isn’t about creating a new business and growing it, thereafter; it’s about us wishing to guide a half-dozen or so expeditions per year, during these next three to five years (2025 to 2030), after which we hope to be the ones enjoying a similar experience, as may be provided to us in other parts of the world.
So, this is about offering a few of you travel enthusiasts a very special and differentiated taste of Brazil; we’re going to really spoil you, if you allow us.
Our mission is to take care of every detail, and ensure a safe, comfortable, convenient, and of course, delicious (perhaps even transformative) travel experience for you in Brazil. Let’s craft your next expeditionary adventure around Brazil’s flavors, rhythms, music, and dance; let’s get started!
Who are we?
We are self-appointed ambassadors of Brazilian gastronomic culture, but we’ve also earned our chops as we trust is reflected in our work, principally seen on Instagram @atable.br. We have a passion for excellence.
In addition to Portuguese, we communicate fluently (native speakers) in English and Spanish and are proficient in French.
We’re an active, semi-retired couple (both seasoned professionals: one is a trained chef, specializing in Brazilian anthropological – Amazonian – cuisine, and the other is a former food and media industry executive), who enjoy life’s great pleasures, especially: wonderful food, comfortable lodging, and a caring and attentive service, which upholds “old-world” sensibilities, standards, and customs.
This initiative is our attempt to shift our professional activities to spending these next few years dedicated to doing what we most enjoy: spending time in the company of diverse and interesting individuals (we hope, many friends and family) in beautiful places and settings, and sharing magnificent food and drink.
We’ll be there with you, the entire time, involved or not to the degree you may desire – always mindful of your needs, space, and privacy; and, fully focused on the details, which make our expeditions exceptional and so memorable.
What we hope to facilitate for you?
Our objective is simply to surprise and delight you and leave you feeling as if you’ve enjoyed one of the most wonderful travels experiences of your lives!
Small groups
We, generally, cater to small groups (six to twelve) – usually families, friends, executive teams, clubs, and social organizations, celebrating special gatherings, together. That said, we’re pleased to also design tours for larger groups (let’s chat).
Customized
We’ll prepare every detail relating to your time in Brazil, as developed by you – no two expeditions will be alike. Once we’ve defined your journey and created your itinerary, we’ll look after arranging everything else for you.
